Description

Shivalik Bank: Head of API Banking (Noida)

Shivalik is on a mission to be the first port-of-call for fintech developers in India

As digitally savvy Indian consumers increasingly approach fintechs for their financial needs, fintechs will need a reliable and agile banking partner to launch financial products such as savings accounts, fixed accounts, current accounts, credit cards and innovate on net new products that we may not have seen yet (including solutions for small businesses). This trend has played out in western markets where smaller but more agile banks have capitalized on the fintech boom with a strong API offering. The Indian market shows similar signs of strong demand for developer-centric banking partners.

Shivalik aims to be the partner of choice for all fintech companies by delivering speed, reliability, and developer-friendliness with our API suite. We aim to break the red tape and inflexibility typically associated with banks when working with fintech companies and provide a stable, reliable, and aligned banking partner for the fintech ecosystem. Shivalik aims to build a top- notch banking API stack which fintech partners can leverage.

We are uniquely positioned for this - we have a strong foundation having built an enduring banking business, and we are backed by top tier global venture capital funds with decades of experience backing and working with fintechs and who believe in our vision and ability to disrupt the next frontier of API banking.

We are looking for a Technology Head to lead API banking

Shivalik Bank is looking for a seasoned technology leader for our API Banking vertical. Currently Shivalik has developed an initial set of APIs, and a few customers have already benefited from them. Launch of the developer portal and product branding is underway and is expected to be live in a few weeks.

The candidate must be well versed with building middleware, high performance APIs and high throughput products. Understanding of both the banking world and the fintech world is ideal, but if you are a strong technologist who is excited about fintech that works too! With the company's current focus on rapid growth and adoption, the candidate should ideally have built and managed a scaled engineering team in their previous roles. You will have complete flexibility to build the team out in the way that you see fit.

This position is based out of NCR/ Noida (for the right candidate we are willing to be flexible).
