PACE (P&L and Accounting Engines) is a 400+ person global, diverse and award winning team, who partners with our business in investment banking and treasury finance to create propositions and solutions to delight our users through-out the value chain, starting in T+1 Product Control and providing the necessary information to the General Ledger from Transaction and Hedge Accounting.
Lead Engineer-VP is responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that solutions are well architected, with maintainability and ease of testing built in from the outset, and that they can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow. They will have gained significant experience through multiple implementations and have begun to develop both depth and breadth in a number of engineering competencies. They have extensive knowledge of design and architectural patterns. They will provide engineering thought leadership within their teams, and will play a role in mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers.

Your key responsibilities
• Hands-on software development
• Solution Design and Architecture ownership
• Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery
• Should be able to contribute towards good software design
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings
• Strong communication with stakeholders
• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner
• Train other team members to bring them up to speed
In addition, support improving the team mindset and skills in Lean Startup, Design Thinking and Product Thinking.
Your skills and experience
• B.Tech/BE or M.Tech/ME/MCA/M.Sc. preferably in Computer-Science
• A hands-on technologist with more than 12 years of experience in Java based technologies, Micro-services architecture, CI/CD pipeline
• Must have comprehensive understanding DevOps and DevOps tools chain in Azure, GCP like cloud platforms
• Jira, Confluence, Git, Maven, Teamcity/Jenkins, Artifactory
• Experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment
• Strong analytical and design skills
• Proficient communication skills (written/verbal)
• Knowledge/experience/exposure to Cloud Technology practices in particular GCP
Desired skills
• Angular, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS
• Event based frameworks, Spring Boot, Apache camel, Kafka, NoSQL (PostgreS , couchbase, cassandra, Oracle NoSQL), Public cloud (aws/google/azure), Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift
• TDD, BDD
• Experience in Investment Banking/Financial domain
